The 2018 Delhi Auto Expo doesn't have a lot of launches, but they're an interesting and exciting set nevertheless. Here is a summary of what to expect over the next two days:
Suzuki is expected to showcase the GSX-S750 and the Burgman Street. While the former is an accessible streetbike with thrills much in the vein of the Triumph Street Triple, the latter is a maxi-scooter that will have fans of the Kinetic Blaze salivating.
Piaggio will have the Aprilia SR125 at their stand. The pricing is expected to be announced. Premium 125cc scooters seem to be the flavour of the month, and the Aprilia only makes it better.
Hero MotoCorp will have their entire 2018 range on display, including any refreshes that were pending. They will also have a few concepts on display. This is worth noting because their stand now is that whatever concepts are displayed will make it to production at some point. The current concepts are also the first batch of concepts built by itself, with no help from any partner.
Honda will showcase their 2018 range, just like Hero. In addition, they have announced that they will either unveil or launch a new product. Whether this is a commuter motorcycle or a high-end product is anyone's guess.
Yamaha will showcase a high-performance scooter at their stall, although the chances of it making it to launch are slim. In addition, we expect the YZF-R15 V3 and YZF-R3 in BS4 form to be present at the stall.
Kawasaki will showcase the 250 Enduro, which is a road-legal KLX 250. In addition, there will be a supersport motorcycle unveil. We also have our fingers crossed that the tasty Z900RS is present... We can't wait to have a Thruxton/Z900RS comparison review!
TVS will showcase three concept motorcycles at their stand, and the Ntorq 125, their recent launch.
BMW Motorrad will launch two motorcycles, expected to be the F750GS and F850GS. The long-awaited G310R and G310GS are also expected to be there at the stand.
Cleveland Cycle Werks will launch the Ace and Misfit, motorcycles that will appeal to customers who want something that is different. Pricing will be announced as well.
Emflux will showcase its concept superbike, the Model 01. This is currently a concept, but should it get to production, it will be the first Indian product that will be able to keep up with a current supersport motorcycle.
TwentyTwo is slated to launch its e-scooter, the Flow. This scooter will have a lot of first-in-class features, including the ability to shut it down via an app should it get into the wrong hands.
UM motorcycles will showcase the Thor, its electric concept motorcycle that it showcased at EICMA last November. It will also unveil its 230cc air-cooled cruiser that will make it more accessible to customers.
