The Leg 3 Stage 5 of the 2018 Desert Storm Rally had participants traversing over 348kms from Mokal to Jaisalmer.
Aaron Mare of Angata Racing took the lead with a time of 05:29:39. Hero Motorsports Team Rally rider CS Santosh met with an accident towards the end of the stage due to poor visibility. Despite the injury he made it to the finish placing second with a time of 05:36:43. However, as precautionary measure the team has pulled out of the rally, with CS Santosh being the sole rider from Hero.
TVS Racing's Santolino Lorenzo continued to be the fastest rider in the rally with a time of 2:15:48 in Stage 5. He placed third overall with a timing of 5 hours 42 minutes and 49 seconds. His teammate, Tanveer Abdul Wahid retained the 5th position with a time of 06:00:40. On the other hand, TVS Racing's Group B (Upto 250cc) racers Rajendra RE and Imran Pasha had to retire from the race. While the former faced a gearbox issue, the latter had a front tire puncture.
