Harley-Davidson has launched the MY2018 updates for the Sportster range. The Superlow, Iron 883, 1200 Custom, Roadster and the Forty-Eight are now available in new paint schemes.
Apart from the existing black paint scheme, the Harley-Davidson Superlow is now available in yellow, cream white and a dual tone red/black paint schemes. It is priced at USD 8,699 (Rs 5.56 lakhs) which is marginally more expensive than the outgoing model.
The Iron 883 continues to be offered in black and grey paint schemes. Additionally, it can now be specified in red, cream white and dark green paint schemes. The Iron 883 retails at USD 8,999 (Rs 5.75 lakhs), which makes is slightly pricier than the 2017 model.
The 1200 Custom has been given a new custom paint job with a racing stripe on the fuel tank. A few components like the mirrors, indicators, wheel rim and the rear suspension springs have been blacked out. It is available in black, brown, red, cream white, silver and grey paint schemes. Even with all these updates, the 1200 Custom continues to retail at USD 10,999 (Rs 7.03 lakhs).
The Roadster carries over the black paint scheme from the previous model. Apart from black, it is available in yellow, brown, blue and grey paint schemes. Even the Forty-Eight retains the black paint scheme, though it is now also available in red, cherry red, silver and metallic blue paint schemes. The tank gets a unique decal pattern for each of the paint schemes. Price for both, the Forty-Eight and the Roadster, have remained unchanged at USD 11,299 (Rs 7.23 lakhs).
For 2018, Harley-Davidson has discontinued the bagger version of the 1200 Custom, called the 1200 Custom T. However, customers can customise the standard motorcycle with touring accessories. We can expect all these models to be launched in India with the new paint schemes in the next few weeks.
