The Honda CBR 250R was recently re-introduced in the India with a price tag of Rs 1.63 lakhs. While the CBR 250R is a sports tourer, the market offers three cruisers, two streetfighters and an adventure tourer around a similar price tag. Here is what the grid looks like-
If you would want to opt for an adventure tourer, there is the Royal Enfield Himalayan. The bike gets dual-purpose tyres, secondary front mudguard, increased suspension travel and a tall windscreen to make it off-road capable. It is powered by a 411cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine that produces 24.5bhp and 32Nm of torque. The bike is priced at Rs 1.68 lakhs.
Royal Enfield also has two other bikes in this list. There is the Bullet 500 priced at Rs 1.66 lakhs. The street bike sports the iconic 'Bullet' styling with oodles of chrome. It uses a 499cc mill producing 26.5bhp of power and 40.9Nm of torque. Also on offer is the Thunderbird 350X.
The city cruiser is based on the standard Thunderbird, however, it gets funky colours, blacked-out components, alloy wheels, shorter grabrails and handlebar for a modern appeal. Powering the bike is a 346cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that produces 19.80bhp and 28Nm of torque. It is priced at Rs 1.56 lakhs.
The UM Renegade Sports S also features modern cruiser styling to appeal to a younger audience. The bike is powered by a 279cc single-cylinder engine that produces 25bhp and 23Nm of torque. It is priced at Rs 1.59 lakhs.
You could also opt for bikes from the streetfighter segment. The Benelli TNT25 gets sculpted bodywork, a muscular fuel tank, exposed trestle frame and a vertically stacked headlamp. It is powered by a 249cc single-cylinder engine which delivers 28bhp and 22Nm of torqueis priced at Rs 1.84 lakhs.
The KTM 250 Duke also sports streetfighter styling inspired by its bigger sibling, the 390 Duke and sports a 248cc single-cylinder engine that puts out 29.6bhp and 24Nm of torque. The KTM 250 Duke retails at Rs 1.75 lakhs.
