The price reduction on these Japanese supersport has been possible due to the reduction of custom duties on CBU models by 25 per cent to 50 per cent. Other manufacturers have also been passing the price reduction to customers.
The CBR1000RR known for its insanely powerful 999cc in-line four cylinder motor hasn’t found a lot of homes in India. Even with features like 9-level traction control system, selectable engine braking and electronic steering damper, the CBR1000RR failed to get the traction like its other Japanese rival, the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R did.
