Honda has launched the 2018 CBR150R in Indonesia. The bike gets two new colour options- matte black and ‘Victory’ red.
These colours add to the CBR150R’s existing colour pallete which includes a Repsol edition paint scheme and ‘Racing’ red colour. Apart from this, the bike remains unchanged. It continues to sport an aggressive styling in tune with its elder sibling, the CBR250RR. The bike also gets full-LED lighting for the headlamp and tail lamp, fully-digital instrument console and clip-on handlebars. To add to its sporty character, Honda as equipped the bike with split seats and a dual tone exhaust can with a brushed aluminum tip.
The CBR150R rides on telescopic forks upfront and a monoshock at the rear. Powering the bike is a 150cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that produces 16.9bhp and 14.4Nm of torque. This unit is mated to a six-speed transmission.
Honda launched the 2018 CBR150R in Indonesia first as the bike garnered a 48 per cent share in the segment, according to reports. Meanwhile, the manufacturer had to discontinue the CBR150R in India last year due to the industry’s move to BS-IV norms. With its biggest rival, the Yamaha R15 V3.0 scheduled to be launched here soon, introducing the CBR150R should be an interesting move by Honda.
