- Deluxe variant gets LED lamps and digital console
Honda has launched the 2018 Dio at Rs 51,292 (ex-showroom). It is available in two variants, standard and Deluxe, and features a slew of cosmetic upgrades.
One of the biggest highlights in the new Dio is the new LED headlamp. This complements the LED strip on the handlebar. To improve the practicality, the Dio now gets two storage hooks and the new four-in-one ignition switch with a button to access the underseat storage. The bodywork features new paint schemes with racy decals. Besides these, the Dio Deluxe also gets a fully-digital display with Eco mode indicator and service due reminder. Even the wheels are painted in gold.
Propelling the Dio is the new 109cc single-cylinder engine, delivering 8bhp and 8.9Nm of torque. It is mated to a CVT transmission. The Dio competes against the Yamaha Ray-Z, TVS Wego and the Suzuki Let’s. The scooter is now available at Honda dealerships across the country.
