The 2018 edition of the Indian National Motorcycle Racing Championship is scheduled to be flagged off tomorrow, 8 June at the Kari Motor Speedway, Coimbatore.
The first round of the championship would be held over the weekend from 8-10 June. Along with the national championship, TVS and Honda would be organising their One-Make series during the race weekend. The 2018 INMRC consists of 11 categories in total. Out of which, 5 categories will be held by TVS; Novice, Open, Ladies, Media along with the Apache RR 310 Cup. The Honda One Make series has one category for the first round and will see riders competing against each other on the race-spec CBR250. The National Championship has 5 categories- Open, Novice, Pro-stock 165 and Super Stock 165, Pro-stock 301-400cc and Ladies.
The winners of the respective categories will be announced on 10 June itself. While the first round has been scheduled at the Kari Motor Speedway in Coimbatore, the rest of the season will be conducted at the MMRT in Chennai. The next round has been slated to be held from 6 July to 8 July. Honda’s Novice class will also be conducted from the next round with racers using race- tuned CBR150s.
