Kawasaki recently introduced the MY2018 update for the smallest member of Ninja family – the Ninja 300. With a big jump in localisation of parts, the Ninja 300 has become more affordable by Rs 60,000. That is not it, as the motorcycle also features a few cosmetic and technological upgrades. The biggest visual update on the new Ninja 300 is the livery. The motorcycle now features new decals which contrast beautifully with the black base paint.
The sharp styling of the Ninja 300 has been derived from the Ninja ZX-10R. The twin headlamp setup, integrated turn indicators on the fairing give it a sharp look.
The raised clip-on handlebars and slightly rear-set footpegs offer a sporty, yet comfortable riding position. The windscreen offers good protection from windblasts.
The instrument console gets a central analogue tachometer with a digital display. The latter displays the speed, fuel level, odometer and trip meters.
At the heart of the Ninja 300 is a 296cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine, delivering 38.5bhp and 27Nm of torque, and mated to a six-speed transmission with slipper clutch.
The brake setup consists of a 290mm front disc and a 220mm rear disc, both of which get a two-piston calliper. ABS is now offered as standard.
Apart from the trademark green paint scheme, the Ninja 300 is now offered in a blue livery. The Ninja 300 is now the most affordable multi-cylinder bike in India.
