Kawasaki has announced that the 2018 Ninja 650 will get two new colour schemes. The 2018 bike will sport a grey/black and blue/black paint job. The colours will accompany the KRT edition colour scheme. A 650 ‘tourer’ version is also expected in international markets, which features engine guards, a high windshield, a gel tank pad, and soft panniers as standard.
The updated colours will not make it to India anytime soon as the 2017 Ninja 650 is a fresh launch in the country. Kawasaki may introduce one of the colours to India if it sees a decline in sales. The Ninja 650 uses a 649cc parallel-twin engine which produces 67.20bhp at 8000rpm and 65.70Nm of torque at 6500rpm giving it a good mid-range. It is priced at Rs 5.77 Lakhs (ex-showroom).
