Suzuki has launched the 2018 Hayabusa in India at Rs 13.87 lakhs (ex-showroom). While there aren’t any mechanical updates, the ‘Busa is now available in two new paint schemes.
For 2018, the Suzuki Hayabusa is available in two new paint schemes – white/red and red/black. It also gets new decals and colour-coordinated wheels to complement the paint schemes. It continues to be powered by a 1340cc four-cylinder liquid-cooled engine, which makes the Hayabusa one of the fastest accelerating production motorcycles on the planet.
Since 2016, Suzuki has been locally assembling the Hayabusa in the Indian market. As completely knocked down (CKD) models fall in a lower tax bracket, the Hayabusa received a price cut of Rs 2.5 lakhs, subsequently doubling the sales of the motorcycle. While it might not be as technologically advanced as its biggest rival, the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14R, the massive difference in price of Rs 4 lakhs has been enough to draw more customers.
