The brochure for the 2018 version of the Yamaha FZ-S V 2.0 has been leaked online.
The bike will get new colour schemes along with new graphics. However, the biggest upgrade is the introduction of a rear disc brake; likely to be offered as an option.
Mechanically, the FZ-S is expected to remain the same. The bike is powered by a 149cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder ‘Blue Core’ engine that puts out 13bhp at 8000rpm and 12.8Nm of torque at 6000rpm. This unit is mated to a five-speed gearbox and final chain drive. The bike returns a claimed fuel efficiency of 45kmpl.
The semi-faired Fazer FI V 2.0 could also get similar updates for this model year. While the FZ-S V 2.0 currently costs Rs 83,062 the Fazer FI V 2.0 gets a Rs 88,143 price tag; however we can expect an increase of Rs 3000-Rs 4000 for the 2018 updates.
We can expect the manufacturer to unveil the bike at the Auto Expo this February along with the R15 V3 and the updated R3.
