Bajaj Auto has finally revealed the 2019 version of its flagship motorcycle, the Dominar 400. The new model of the power cruiser has received changes in terms of looks, powerplant and cycle parts. The pricing of the bike has not been revealed yet but we expect a hike of around Rs 10,000 to Rs 12,000 over the previous model. While the announcement regarding its price is awaited, here’s the photo gallery of the 2019 Bajaj Dominar 400 and the updates it receives.
Alongside the minor tweaks to the styling, the 2019 Dominar 400 has been introduced in a new shade of Auroral green.
The headlamp section has been redesigned to look more futuristic and gets a contrast coloured accent below the visor.
Besides the headlamp, the tail lamp has also been tweaked internally but continue to boast of the signature design.
The side mirrors now feature a new look along with cast aluminum stalks which not only offer better visibility but also complement the overall design of the motorcycle.
The all-digital instrumentation is more comprehensive as, along with the basic info, it also shows average fuel consumption, current fuel economy and distance to service.
Additionally, it features an LCD display on the fuel tank which shows time, gear position and the trip information.
The pillion seat of the motorcycle gets a ‘D’ logo embossed on it.
One of the most prominent changes on the 2019 Dominar 400 is the integration of a dual-barrel exhaust unit for a throatier exhaust note.
It continues to be powered by a 373.3cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine which now churns out 5bhp higher at 39.4bhp at 8650rpm and the peak torque of 35Nm comes in 500rpm earlier at 7,000rpm.
The telescopic suspension on the front have been replaced by USD (upside down) forks while the rear continues to sport a gas-charged monoshock.
Braking is taken care of by a 320mm disc with radial caliper on the front and a 230mm disc with a single piston caliper at the rear. Dual-channel ABS is now standard.
In terms of pricing, the 2019 Bajaj Dominar 400 will compete against the Royal Enfield Classic 500, KTM Duke 250 and the Mahindra Mojo XT300.
