- It was sighted in Pune, India
- Reveals dual-barrel exhaust and USD front forks
- Bookings have begun at select dealerships
With the launch of the 2019 Bajaj Dominar 400 just around the corner, the power cruiser was once again spied on the Indian roads. Spotted near Pune, the motorcycle was camouflaged but revealed several details clearly.
The spotted bike incorporates a dual-barrel exhaust assembly which gets brushed aluminum finish. Another prominent change is on the front suspension. The current telescopic setup makes way for the more premium USD (upside down) front forks while the braking performance is also expected to be improved. A recently leaked video of the 2019 version showed that it will get an auxiliary display on the fuel tank, apart from the main instrument cluster. The decals on the panels are also expected to be upgraded.
The Bajaj Dominar 400 is powered by a 373.3cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that churns out 34.5bhp of power and 35Nm of torque. It comes mated to a six-speed gearbox. Perhaps, this powerplant will be updated for better performance and will be compliant with the upcoming BS VI emission norms. The radiator on the bike also appears slightly bigger which means it will be capable of better cooling.
Although it is yet to be launched, bookings for the 2019 Dominar 400 have begun at select dealerships at Rs 1000 refundable amount. While the outgoing model is priced at Rs 1.63 lakhs (ex-showroom), expect a hike of around Rs 8,000-10,000 for the 2019 version.
