Bajaj has finally launched the Dominar 400 in India with a price tag of Rs 1.73 lakhs (ex-showroom). It gets a host of mechanical upgrades along with a few cosmetic changes. However, if you're in the lookout for motorcycles from different segments around the same price range, there are six options to consider. Here is what the grid looks like-
Let's begin with the only fully-faired offering in this list; the KTM RC200 which is priced at Rs 1.88 lakhs. It offers a committed riding position and a split-seat setup that enhances its sporty appeal. The KTM RC200 is powered by a 199cc, single-cylinder motor that produces 25bhp and 19.2Nm of torque. In this price range, KTM also offers a streetfighter in the form of the 250 Duke. The bike borrows its aggressive design from the 390 Duke. Powering the 250 Duke is a 249cc, single-cylinder engine that churns out 29.6bhp and 24Nm of torque. KTM has priced the 250 Duke at Rs 1.94 lakhs.
Moving to the Jawa stables, you have the standard Jawa that retails at Rs 1.64 lakhs. The design of this motorcycle is reminiscent of the brand's classic motorcycles. However, the Jawa is powered by a 293cc, single-cylinder motor that produces 27bhp and 28Nm of torque. In a similar classic styling, there's the Royal Enfield Bullet 500 priced at Rs 1.86 lakhs. It uses a 499cc, single-cylinder motor that puts out 26.1bhp and 40.9Nm of torque. You could also have the Classic 350 Signals at Rs 1.62 lakhs. The Classic 350 Signals sports graphics inspired by Royal Enfield's Pegasus motorcycles used in the World War. The bike is powered by a 346cc, single-cylinder engine that generates 19.8bhp and 28Nm of torque.
The only adventure-touring motorcycle in the list is the Royal Enfield Himalayan that retails at Rs 1.79 lakhs. The bike gets a windscreen, long travel suspension and dual-purpose tyres that complement its character. It is powered by a 411cc, single-cylinder motor that puts out 24.5bhp and 32Nm of torque.
