Bajaj has updated its 150cc commuter, the V15 for 2019. This has brought a mild power boost, revised gearshift pattern and refreshed graphics along with a new name – V15 Power Up. However, the pricing of the bike remains unchanged at Rs 67,187 (ex-showroom). Let’s take a closer look at the changes through this picture gallery:
The updated model has received new set of decals on the tank and side panels which are bigger and look more prominent.
The ‘Power Up’ term signifies the bump in its power figure as it now churns out 1bhp more at 12.8bhp. Torque remains unchanged at 13Nm.
Powering the motorcycle is the same 149.5cc, air-cooled, carburetor motor that is mated to a five-speed gearbox.
However, the previous all-down gear shift pattern has been revised into the modern one-down-four-up pattern.
The Bajaj V15 continues to get the conventional headlamp bulb for illumination while the tail lamp is LED type.
The instrument cluster is also unchanged and gets a single dial for speedometer and odometer with a small unit consisting of fuel level meter and tell-tale lights.
It tips the scale at 135.5 kg and gets a 13 litre fuel tank capacity.
Suspension duties are handled by telescopic forks on the front and gas-charged shock absorbers at the rear.
Braking on the 2019 Bajaj V15 Power Up is handled by a 240mm front disc and rear drum brake. ABS has not been introduced yet.
