Ahead of its official unveil at the 2018 EICMA, specifications and picture of the 2019 BMW S1000RR were leaked on social media. The details in the picture consist of technical specifications, electronic features and optional accessories.
The motorcycle was spotted multiple times before, thus showing that the bike has radically evolved. The 2019 model gets a symmetrical headlamp design while the fairing, tail section, frame and swingarm have all been overhauled and make the bike more compact.
According to the leaked data, the 2019 S1000RR gets a host of electronic aids including BMW Race ABS, ABS Pro, four riding modes (rain, road, dynamic, race), DTC (dynamic traction control), HSC (hill start control), Shift Assist Pro, TFT instrument cluster and LED headlamp, tail lamp and turn indicators.
In the case of powerplant, the 2019 BMW S1000RR is propelled by a 999cc, four-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine mated to a six-speed gearbox. Going by the picture, the power figures have gone up from 193bhp and 112Nm to 204bhp at 13,500rpm and 113Nm at 11,000rpm. Moreover, the optional accessories include M-series footrests, brake and clutch levers, tinted and bubbled windscreen and a few others.
The 2019 BMW S1000RR will come to India next year and it is expected to be priced slightly higher than the current version which retails at Rs 18.05 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi).
