Ducati has begun production of the 2019 Diavel 1260, which was unveiled at the 2018 EICMA. The Italian manufacturer rolled the first bike off its production line in Bologna, Italy recently.
The second-gen Diavel retains the character of the previous model however with a meaner and more aggressive appeal. It sports a redesigned bodywork, chassis and a new, more powerful 1262cc, L-twin engine. This unit produces 157bhp of power and 129Nm of torque.
Ducati has equipped the bike's electronic package with riding modes, cornering ABS, Ducati Traction Control (DTC), Ducati Wheelie Control (DWC) and a cruise control system along with a 3.5-inch TFT colour display. It is also available in an 'S' variant whic gets higher-spec braking and suspension hardware sourced from Brembo and Ohlins respectively.
The Diavel 1260 will be available in the European market from next month. However, it is likely to arrive on Indian shores by the second half of this year and will demand a premium over the current Diavel which is priced at Rs 16.15 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi)
