Honda has revealed the 2019 versions of its adventure-tourers, the Africa Twin and the Africa Twin Adventure Sports at the 2018 Paris Motor Show. The upgraded models have only received new colour options and all the other specifications remain the same.
As for the standard Africa Twin, it has been introduced in a combination of white, red and dark blue colours along with a new matte black option. On the other hand, the Adventure Sports trim comes in a light metallic silver colour along with a white frame. Both the bikes sport golden rims now which make them look more stylish.
The Honda Africa Twin Adventure Sports is a more off-road-focused version of the standard model. It gets taller wind screen, bigger sump guard, fairing guard, more fuel tank capacity and a 12 volt charging socket. Moreover, it also has a higher ground clearance and better suspension travel for better off-roading.
Powering the motorcycles is a 998cc, parallel-twin engine mated to a six-speed manual or an optional six-speed automatic dual clutch transmission. The motor generates 88bhp of power at 7500rpm and 93Nm of torque at 6000rpm.
The 2019 editions of the bikes are expected to come by next year in India. The rivals include the Triumph Tiger 800, BMW F750GS, BMW F850GS and the Ducati Multistrada 950 in India.
