- Built around diamond frame
- Powered by 124cc fuel-injected engine producing 10.4bhp
- Might not make it to India
New patent drawings show that Honda is working on a new CB125F. Although the underpinnings look similar, the styling has received an overhaul.
The CB125F is Honda’s entry-level model in several European markets. For 2019, the CB125F will get a redesigned headlamp and cowl, quite similar to the CB Hornet 160R. Even the new fuel tank, tank extensions and the mirrors look sharper, while the grab rail gets split design. The exhaust sports a new look. The alloy wheels however, sport the same design.
The new CB125F will continue to be based on a diamond frame. Powering the bike is a 124cc air-cooled fuel-injected single-cylinder engine delivering 10.4bhp and 10.2Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a five-speed transmission. It rides on 18-inch alloy wheels with conventional telescopic front forks and dual spring rear suspension. Brake setup consists of a 240mm front disc and a 130mm rear drum unit.
In this financial year, Honda will be refreshing 18 two-wheelers in its range with cosmetic updates apart from launching a new motorcycle in India. Although reports suggest that the CB125F will be this new motorcycle, it seems unlikely that the Japanese brand will bother replacing the CB Shine, which is currently the highest selling motorcycle in the segment.
