Honda announced the introduction of its modern-retro streetfighter, the CB300R, in India. The pricing of the motorcycle has not been revealed yet but Honda has confirmed that it will cost below Rs 2.5 lakhs (ex-showroom) which makes it a compelling product. While we might be a few days away from its official launch, let’s have a closer look at its pictures.
The CB300R belongs to Honda’s new Neo Sports Café family which is a combination of modernity as well as retro appeal.
It will be available in two colour options – matte axis gray metallic and candy chromosphere red.
It sports a rectangular, blue-backlit, LCD instrument cluster which packs in ample of information and tell-tale lights.
The round headlamp assembly looks classic but inside it houses a nicely designed horseshoe-shaped LED lamp.
Powering the CB300R is a 286cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that churns out 31bhp of power and 27.5Nm of torque.
The motorcycle is based on tubular steel trellis frame and it is considerably light weighing at 143kg kerb.
To absorb bumps, it gets 41mm USD (upside down) front forks and seven-step adjustable monoshock at the rear.
Braking is handled by 296mm disc on the front and 220mm disc at the rear while dual-channel ABS is standard.
The Honda CB300R will lock horns with the KTM Duke 390, BMW G310R and the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650.
