- New Fireblade could get more power
- Better aerodynamics is also on the cards
- Likely to be unveiled at 2019 EICMA
There’s an update Fireblade in the pipeline and is likely to be unveiled in the next few months at the 2019 EICMA Show in Italy.
As per some rumours, the 2019 variant could get more power as there have been few complaints from the factory racing teams about current model’s low power. The bike puts out 187bhp power at the crank which the teams are not happy with. One of the product leaders of the current Fireblade did admit that they could get more power from the current engine architecture and will do when needed.
Along with the increase of power, the upcoming Fireblade could get revised fairing for improved aerodynamics. This new fairing is believed to get a redesigned nose with a central ram-air scoop closer to the fairing’s centre of pressure.
This new supersport will definitely make its way to India after the global launch. But expect the prices to go up a bit. It will compete with the Kawasaki Ninja ZX10R which is a hot seller as it is priced really aggressively now.
