Honda has unveiled the 2019 version of its entry-level sportsbike, the CBR150 R in Indonesia. The motorcycle has got both mechanical and cosmetic changes along with new shades. The new colour options for 2019 include matte black, victory black red, Honda racing red and MotoGP edition.
The new Honda CBR150 R gets a sharper fairing design along with a taller windscreen. The headlamps have also been upgraded into a sleeker unit which consists of LED lights and the turn indicators are also LED. The fully-digital instrument cluster now gets a coloured back light.
Braking duties on the motorcycle are handled by petal disc on the front and rear while ABS and emergency stop signal (ESS) come as standard features. The sportsbike is suspended on the telescopic forks on the front and monoshock at the rear which are adjustable on the international version. Powering the 2019 Honda CBR150 R is a 149cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, DOHC motor which produces 16.8bhp at 9,000rpm and 14.4Nm at 7,000rpm. The engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox.
The 2019 Honda CBR150 R is likely to come to India by next year and if it does, it will compete against the Yamaha YZF R15 V3.
