Honda launched the 2019 Gold Wing Tour DCT in India at Rs 27.79 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Bookings for the bike have already commenced and the deliveries are likely by begin by early 2019. It gets a single colour option – candy ardent red.
The Honda Gold Wing Tour has received new features for 2019. These include electronically-adjustable windscreen, storage box, Apple CarPlay and ABS, all of which now come as standard. It also gets throttle-by-wire feature with four riding modes (tour, sport, econ and rain) for altering the bike’s power delivery.
The 2019 Gold Wing Tour is powered by the same 1833cc, flat six-cylinder engine that generates 124bhp at 5,500rpm and 170Nm of torque at 4,500rpm. The engine works in tandem with the DCT (dual clutch transmission) system which assists in automatic clutch and shift operation. For added convenience, it also comes equipped with the hill start assist (HAS) and idling stop features.
The motorcycle rides on 18-inch front and 16-inch rear wheel that are suspended on double wishbone suspension on the front and pro link suspension at the rear. Braking duties are handled by 320mm dual discs on the front and a 316mm disc at the rear.
The 2019 Gold Wing Tour DCT locks horns with the Indian Roadmaster, Indian Chief Vintage, Indian Chieftain Dark Horse, BMW K 1600 B, Harley-Davidson Street Glide Special and the Harley-Davidson Road King.
