Indian Motorcycles has taken the wraps off the 2019 Roadmaster Elite. The premium touring motorcycle is limited to 200 units worldwide and is priced at USD 36,999 (Rs 26.3 lakhs).
For 2019, the Roadmaster Elite gets a new hand-painted red and black paint scheme with 24-karat gold badging. It also gets an upgraded 600-watt audio system; 300 watts more than the previous model. This system is connected to the Bluetooth-enabled, seven-inch touchscreen and automatically adjusts volume based on surrounding noise. The Roadmaster Elite’s features also include leather passenger armrests, billet aluminium floorboards, and aluminium mirrors.
The Indian Roadmaster Elite is powered by an 1811cc ‘Thunder Stroke 111’ V-twin engine that produces 151Nm of torque and comes mated to a six-speed gearbox. The engine also gets a rear cylinder deactivation technology which shuts down the rear cylinder when the bike is at a standstill and the ambient temperature is above 15 degrees Celsius. The 2019 Roadmaster Elite’s electronic aid consists of three ride modes- Tour, Standard and Sport. The manufacturer is also offering optional performance upgrades like a high flow air intake, performance cams and exhaust systems.
We can expect Indian Motorcycles to bring the bike to India in limited numbers. It will compete against the Harley-Davidson CVO Limited in the country.
