The 2019 Kawasaki Ninja 1000 was recently launched in India with a price of Rs 9.99 lakhs. If you are on a similar budget, there are roughly a dozen other bikes you can buy that offer different body styles and characteristics. There are three street fighter motorcycles on offer. There is the Yamaha MT-09 is priced at Rs 10.88 lakhs. The 847cc, inline three mill produces 111.8bhp and 87.5Nm of torque. The Triumph Street Triple S retails at Rs 9.32 lakhs. Its 765cc, inline three cylinder churns out 111bhp and 73Nm of torque.
The Ducati Monster 821 which also arrived in the country not long ago retails for Rs 9.51 lakhs. It gets an 821cc, L-Twin engine that produces 107bhp and 86Nm of torque. From Ducati’s stables itself, is the Scrambler Café Racer which sports a design language that is reminiscent to racing motorcycles from the ‘60s.
You could also have the Scrambler Desert Sled which is an off-road focused motorcycle equipped with 200mm suspension travel for the front and rear. Both the bikes are priced at Rs 9.32 lakhs and are powered by the same 803cc L-twin Desmodromic engine, which delivers 75bhp and 68Nm of torque.
Triumph has two modern-classic motorcycles on offer- the Bonneville T100 and Bonneville T120 priced at Rs 9 lakhs and Rs 10.08 lakhs respectively. While T100 gets a 900cc, twin cylinder engine that produces 54bhp of power and 80Nm of torque, the T120 uses a 1200cc, twin cylinder unit that produces 79bhp and 105Nm of torque. You could also opt for the Triumph Bonneville Bobber which retails at Rs 10.38 lakhs. Powering the bike is a 1200cc parallel-twin engine that puts out 76bhp and 106Nm of torque.
If you are a V-twin enthusiast, there are three motorcycles that you could look at. There is the Harley Davidson Iron 883 at Rs 9.67 lakhs. The bike is powered by an 883cc V-twin engine, which produces 50bhp and 69Nm of torque. The manufacturer also has the 1200 Custom with a price tag of Rs 10.75 lakhs. It uses a 1202cc, V-twin that churns out 67.7Nm of torque. Indian Motorcycles also offers a cruiser in this list, the Scout Sixty. The bike is powered by a 999cc, V-twin that produces 78bhp of power and 88Nm of torque. It is priced at Rs 10.99 lakhs.
