Just a few weeks after documents filed at the California Air Resource Board revealed that the 2019 Ninja ZX-6r is in the works, details about the bike have been leaked.
According to the leaked documents, the 2019 ZX-6R’s 636cc engine will produce 126bhp, a slight drop from the previous model’s 127bhp power output. The ZX-6R is likely to be available in 94bhp variant for certain markets. The 2019 bike will also be 2kgs heavier than the older version tipping the scales at 196kg.
The leaked details also list out the dimensions of the upcoming bike, further confirming that the 2019 model will sport a new look. The bike is 5mm wider, 5mm lower and 20mm shorter than the older model. It is expected to borrow styling cues from the aggressively styled Ninja ZX-10R and the Ninja H2.
Kawasaki is likely to unveil the 2019 Ninja ZX-6R at the 2018 Tokyo Motor Show. However, the bike is highly unlikely to arrive in India anytime soon.
