Kawasaki has launched the 2019 iteration of the Versys 650 in India. The bike carries a price tag of Rs 6.69 lakh which is the same as the earlier model.
For 2019, the Versys 650 gets a new colour scheme. While the front, side and rear section is black with green highlights, the tank is finished in grey. Apart from the new paint job, the bike remains the same. It continues with the 649cc, parallel-twin engine that produces 67.4bhp and 64Nm of torque. The Kawasaki Versys 650 has always been a touring-focused motorcycle and rides on 17-inch wheels shod with road-biased tyres.
Braking duties are handled by 300mm twin disc up front and a 250mm disc at the rear held on by Nissin calipers. The front end uses 41mm inverted fork that are preload and rebound adjustable while the rear uses a preload adjustable monoshock.
The Kawasaki Versys 650 competes against the Suzuki V-Strom 650 XT and the recently launched SWM Superdual T in India.
