Kawasaki has launched the 2019 version of its middle-weight naked bike, the Z650. It has been priced at Rs 5.29 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi) which is around Rs 10,000 hike as compared to its predecessor. The motorcycle is available only in one colour option of metallic flat spark black/metallic spark black.
For 2019, the Kawasaki Z650 has received refreshed graphics on the tank and rear cowl. Rest of the things remain the same. Following the Sugomi design philosophy, it boasts of sharp contours from front to rear. The motorcycle is powered by a 650cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine that produces 67bhp and 66Nm. The six-speed gearbox is accompanied by assist and slipper clutch and ABS comes as a standard fitment.
The 2019 Kawasaki Z650 is anchored by 300mm dual disc brakes with dual-piston calipers upfront and single-piston calipers with 220mm disc at the rear. Suspension duties are handled by 41mm telescopic front forks and rear monoshock.
The Kawasaki Z650 was launched in India in early 2017 and it replaced the ER-6n. It competes against the Benelli TNT600i in the naked street fighter segment. However, rivals also include the similarly priced cruiser bikes such as the Harley-Davidson Street 750, Kawasaki Vulcan S and Hyosung Aquila Pro650.
