2019 KTM 200 Duke likely to see major changes

- Likely to borrow design from 250 Duke, 390 Duke

- No updates on the 200cc engine

- Will be equipped with ABS

When KTM India launched the new 390 Duke and the 250 Duke last year, Indian motorcycle enthusiasts had a reason to rejoice. At that time, the entry-level 200 Duke just got some minor cosmetic changes to keep it relevant in the market. But now it looks like the 200 Duke might finally get some major changes.

According rumours, KTM is readying a 2019 version of the 200 Duke. This motorcycle is expected to get a major design change, maybe look identical to the 250 Duke and the 390 Duke. If this happens, then the Duke family will have identical design language. Interestingly, the company had showcased a Duke 200 with a side-mounted exhaust at the Indonesian International Motor Show. That exhaust looked similar to the one found on the 390 and 250 Dukes. What´s more, this addition resulted in improved torque delivery and better exhaust note. However, mechanically, there were no changes.

The 200 Duke is the highest selling KTM in India. With a major design upgrade, this bike will definitely push company’s overall sales in the country.
