- Silver Gixxer 155 spotted for the first time
- Likely to be launched very soon
- Will get a decent price hike
The 2019 version of the Suzuki Gixxer 155 has been spotted again. But this time, it’s the silver paint scheme that was caught camera.
With these production ready pictures of the upgraded Gixxer 155 hitting the internet makes us believe that the official launch isn’t too far. However, its 250cc sibling, the Gixxer 250 is yet to be caught on camera fully.
The 2019 Gixxer 155, however, has managed to receive some good updates. The most one is the new headlamp unit, which looks more matured and features an LED setup. The fuel tank and the split seats have been borrowed from its faired sibling, the Gixxer SF. The fuel tank extensions are slightly bigger which gives the bike a muscular look – something that is missing from the current generation. The instrument cluster too, will be taken from the faired sibling.
This Gixxer will continue to be powered by the same 155cc fuel-injected single-cylinder unit that churns out 14bhp and peak torque of 14Nm. This engine will be mated to a five-speed gearbox. Rest of the cycle parts like the suspension setup, wheels, switchgear are expected to the carry forward from the current model.
We’re expecting a decent price over the current model, but the difference wouldn’t be big. The 2019 variant will compete with the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V, the Yamaha FZ 3.0 and the Honda CB Hornet 160R.
