Suzuki Motorcycles India had recently launched the 2019 edition of the Gixxer in the country. The motorcycle follows a fresh design language similar to its faired avatar, the Gixxer SF. The motorcycle carries a sticker tag of Rs 1 lakh which is about Rs 12,000 more in comparison to its predecessor. Here’s a photo gallery of the new Gixxer highlighting the new features and improvements.
Suzuki has given the 2019 Gixxer a complete overhaul in terms of design but at the same time, it has retained the distinctive form of the motorcycle. It now receives a chiselled fuel tank with aggressive tank extensions and a dual-tone colour scheme that gives the bike a premium appeal.
The new Gixxer features a single-piece handlebar that is flanked by an updated digital instrument console that now gets a white backlit display instead of an orange one on the previous edition.
Powering the Gixxer is the same 155cc air-cooled motor that is now fuel-injected. The motor produces 14bhp and 14Nm and comes mated to a five-speed gearbox.
The tail section of the Gixxer is completely new featuring a redesign tail lamp and grab rail.
Following the trend of LED lighting, the 2019 Gixxer get the same treatment in the form of an all-LED LED headlamp. However, the turn indicators continue to be conventional bits.
Suzuki offers the Gixxer with the choice of three colour options, of which two are dual-tone schemes. Apart from the completely black option, the motorcycle is available in Silver with Black and Blue with Black options.
The motorcycle continues to be offered with the same twin-barrel exhaust which now gets a new chrome exhaust cladding.
The single-piece seat on the previous generation model has been done away with a sporty split-seat design adding to the character of the motorcycle.
The 2019 Gixxer comes with disc brakes at both ends and is equipped with single-channel ABS.
