After launching the 2019 Gixxer SF in May, Suzuki Motorcycle India has introduced the MotoGP edition of the motorcycle. While the new design is already an impressive departure from the previous model, the MotoGP edition makes the bike further appealing. In that case, let’s gawk at this new edition in the detailed image gallery.
The bold blue colour scheme and livery featured on the Gixxer SF MotoGP edition is inspired by the 2019 GSX-RR; the bikemaker’s MotoGP race machine.
The motorcycle adorns the Team Suzuki Ecstar decal which is pronounced and runs over the angular fairing extending till the muscular fuel tank.
The distinctive-looking sleek headlamp of the bike is flanked by yellow and white decals on both sides, accompanied by a miniscule ‘Fi’ logo sitting on top right of the headlamp.
The bright blue treatment on the tail section is accentuated by a similar yellow and white decals as on the front, while the blue-coloured grab rail adds to the elegant look of the bike.
Besides the inclusion of special edition graphics, the MotoGP edition remains unchanged mechanically. Powering the motorcycle is a 154.9cc, air-cooled, fuel-injected motor which churns out 13.9bhp and 14Nm.
The 17-inch wheels of the Gixxer SF are suspended by telescopic forks at the front and a swingarm-type monoshock at the rear.
Braking hardware consists of disc brakes at both ends which is assisted by single-channel ABS.
The MotoGP edition of the 2019 Gixxer SF is priced at Rs 1,10,605 (ex-showroom, Delhi) which is a premium of around Rs 800 over the standard model.
