2019 Suzuki Hayabusa rendered

Suzuki’s upcoming 2019 Hayabusa has been rendered by a Japanese magazine, which is known to hit the bulls-eye with its predictions. The rendering is based on the Concept GSX shown at the 2015 Tokyo Motor Show. 

The images reveal that the bike’s design language will be similar to the current Hayabusa. However, the 2019 bike will get sharper and more aggressive lines. The next-gen Hayabusa is expected to get the LED treatment along with a new design for the headlamp and tail lamp. It is also likely to get redesigned twin exhaust outlets. 

The bike is likely to be powered by a 1440cc in-line four engine housed in a revised frame. This would put it in par with its biggest rival, the Kawasaki ZX-14R. Only time will tell if the rumours of a turbocharged Hayabusa for 2019 were true. The manufacturer will also upgrade the electronics and suspension package to include traction-control, a six-axis IMU and a semi-active suspension among other changes.

2019 marks the 20th anniversary for the Hayabusa making it an apt time to launch the third generation of the bike. We can expect Suzuki to unveil the 2019 Hayabusa at the 2018 Tokyo Motor Show. The current Hayabusa is the highest selling big bike for Suzuki in the Indian market. Meanwhile, the 2019 Hayabusa is likely to make its appearance here a few months after its global unveil.
