Suzuki has launched the 2019 version of its adventure tourer, the V-Strom 650 XT ABS. This 2019 version doesn’t get any price hike, and will continue to retail at Rs 7.46 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi).
As part of the 2019 package, the V-Strom 650 XT ABS gets hazard lamps and side reflectors. Other than this, there’s no changes or addition made to this Japanese touring machine. The V-Strom 650 XT ABS is known for its big body proportions and design that has been borrowed from the V-Strom 1000. It sports an adjustable windshield to aid long distance riding. The V-Strom 650XT is equipped with aluminium spoke wheels with tubeless Battlax Adventure A40 tubeless tyres, hand guards and engine cowl. The bike comes with a 12V DC charging point as standard.
It is powered by a 650cc liquid-cooled V-Twin that is known for its accessible torque. This engine churns out 71bhp at 8800rpm and peak torque of 62Nm at 6500rpm and is mated to a six-speed gearbox. It gets three-level switchable traction control system and ABS as standard. The bike rides on43mm telescopic forks in the front monoshock with adjustable rebound and preload at the back. The braking duties are taken care of by 310mm dual disc at the front and 260mm disc at the back. ABS is standard. The motorcycle tips the scale at 213kgs, and with a fuel tank capacity of 20 litres, the bike can do around 400-500kms in one full tank.
The V-Strom 650 XT is available in two colours - Champion Yellow and Pearl White Glacier. The bike competes with the Kawasaki Versys 650, SWM SuperDual T and the soon-to-be launched Benelli TRK 502.
