The 2019 Suzuki V-Strom 650 XT ABS is focussed on touring while taking on tricky terrains and, in this price range, there are two other motorcycles which can do the same - the Kawasaki Versys 650 and SWM Superdual T. The former is more affordable than the V-Strom as it comes for Rs 6.69 lakh. For that price, it offers sharp aesthetics along with a tractable 649cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled motor that is good for 67.4bhp and 64Nm. On the other hand, the SWM Superdual T is yet another capable ADV with spoke wheels and minimal 169kg kerb weight. Priced at Rs 6.50 lakh, it comes equipped with a 600cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder motor that produces 54bhp and 53.5Nm.
Now, if you seek adventure in a different style, the Ducati Scrambler Icon is the most affordable offering in India from the Italian brand. With attractive looks and ample features, the motorcycle is powered by a 803cc, air-cooled, twin-cylinder motor that is capable of 73.9bhp and 68Nm. While it is priced at Rs 7.23 lakh, you can also opt for the more premium versions such as the Ducati Scrambler Full Throttle and Classic.
Let's move on to the streetfighters in this price bracket. The list consists of three offerings in this category which includes Kawasaki Z900, Suzuki GSX-S750 and the Ducati Monster 797. All the three bikes are capable in their own ways. The Z900 has replaced the Z800 and Z1000 in India. Priced at Rs 7.68 lakh, the mean-looking motorcycle packs a 748cc, four-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor that pumps out 123.3bhp and 98.6Nm. You can also go for the Italian, the Ducati Monster 797 which, at Rs 8.12 lakh offers muscular styling and an 803cc, twin-cylinder motor that churns out 75bhp and 69Nm.
Lastly, if you wish to go a different way and seek a cruiser with a sporty nature, the Harley-Davidson Street Rod demands Rs 6.61 lakh. What you get is a cruiser styling with a tint of aggression and a 749cc, twin-cylinder engine that makes 62Nm of torque.
