- Pictures of production-ready bike leaked.
- Gets carbon-fibre fairing.
- Expected to arrive sometime early next year.
The 2019 Triumph Thruxton R wa spotted testing recently and now, pictures of the production version have been leaked.
Following the retro design cues of its predecessor, the bike sports a half-fairing that is reminiscent of racing motorcycles from the '80s. However, the fairing is now dipped in carbon fibre and so is the front mudguard. It also gets a full-LED headlamp along with an LED tail lamp and turn indicators. The bike's modern-retro looking, black-finished spoke rims are wrapped in Metzeler Racetec RR rubber.
The bike appears to be riding on Ohlins suspension; inverted forks in the front and twin shocks at the rear. Braking duties have been taken care of by Brembo M4 calipers on both ends. The 2019 Thruxton R is expected to be powered by a slightly retuned version of the 1200cc, parallel-twin motor on the Speed Twin which produces 96bhp and 112Nm of torque. The electronics package is likely to include ABS, traction control, ride-by-wire throttle and three riding modes - Rain, Road and Sport.
We can expect Triumph to unveil the bike globally sometime early next year before introducing it in the Indian market soon after.
