Triumph has launched its top-of-the-line middle-weight adventure motorcycle, the 2019 Tiger 800 XCa in India. The motorcycle has been priced at Rs 15.16 lakhs which is a premium of Rs 1.13 lakhs over the Tiger 800 XCx. To justify the extra cost, it gets additional features which make the XCa variant a more enticing product. Having said that, let’s take a closer look at the bike in this picture gallery.
The 2019 Tiger 800 XCa gets cosmetic upgrades over its predecessor and the main highlight is the inclusion of LED lighting.
While the XCx variant only gets LED DRLs, the XCa model also features LED head lamp, tail lamp, indicators and auxiliary lamp for better illumination.
All the information on this ADV is displayed on a five-inch TFT instrument cluster which, on the XCa model, offers six different screen styles.
For added comfort, while riding in low-temperature environment, the Tiger 800 XCa gets heated grips and seat, the latter being a standard fitment only on the XCa variant.
Powering the motorcycle is an 800cc, in-line three cylinder engine which churns out 94bhp and 79Nm. Moreover, besides the five riding modes available on the XCx trim, the XCa gets an additional rider programmable mode.
Suspension duties are handled by 43mm WP inverted forks with 220mm travel on the front while the rear gets a WP monoshock with 215mm of travel.
Braking on the Tiger 800 XCa is taken care of by twin 305mm discs with Brembo two-piston caliper on the front while the rear gets a 255mm disc with Nissin caliper. This is assisted by switchable ABS.
The 2019 Triumph Tiger 800 XCa competes against the BMW F850 GS Pro variant and the Honda Africa Twin in India.
