TVS recently launched the 2019 Apache RR 310 in the country. The fully-faired motorcycle has been updated to address the issues of the earlier model. We tell you what's new about the new Apache RR 310.
New colour
One of the few updates is the new 'Phantom Black' colour which is a full black colour scheme with a white strip along the centre of the bike. The new colour matches well with the RR 310s red frame and golden fork tubes.
Updated ECU
TVS has remapped the ECU on the new Apache RR 310 to give it a smoother lower end torque output. However, the bike's 313cc engine continues to produce 34bhp of power and 27.3Nm of torque.
Slipper clutch
The engine is mated to a six-speed transmission and now gets a slipper clutch that prevents the rear wheel from hopping under aggressive downshifting. The clutch has also been tuned to be lighter and smoother than before.
Lesser vibrations
TVS has added a rubber lining on the inner side of the windscreen along with heavier bar-ends. These measures are taken to curb the vibrations that the earlier model faced.
Price
With a price tag of Rs 2.27 lakhs (ex-showroom), the new Apache RR 310 demands a premium of Rs 3,000 over the previous model. In terms of competition, the RR 310 competes against the Kawasaki Ninja 300, KTM RC390 and the Benelli 302R.
