Yamaha has launched the 2019 FZ V3.0 in India with a price tag of Rs 95,000 (ex-showroom). If you're on a similar budget, there are around 12 options that you can consider. Here's what the list looks like-
The FZ V3.0 is a 160cc, streetfighter motorcycle and in the same segment, there are two motorcycles on offer. The Honda CB Hornet 160R is priced at Rs 90,443 for the CBS version and Rs 91,443 for the ABS model. It uses a 162cc, air-cooled, carburetted engine that produces 15.04bhp and 14.76Nm of torque.
The TVS Apache RTR 160 4V will cost you Rs 82,810 for the standard variant which gets a rear drum brake although the bike is also offered with a rear disc brake at Rs 85,810. It is powered by a 159cc, oil-cooled, carburetted engine that produces 16.1bhp and 14.8Nm of torque. TVS also retails a fuel-injected version at Rs 91,810 which generates 0.2bhp extra. It hasn't yet been updated with an ABS unit.
TVS also offers a 180cc motorcycle called the Apache RTR 180 ABS at Rs 95,392. The bike uses a 177cc, air-cooled engine that puts out 17.3bhp and 15.5Nm of torque. In this segment, Bajaj has the Pulsar 180 retailing at Rs 84,243. The motorcycle is only available in one variant and doesn't feature ABS. It is powered by a 178cc, air-cooled, carburetted motor that puts out 17bhp and 14Nm of torque.
Taking the scales a bit higher to 200cc motorcycles; there are three options you can consider. There is the Bajaj Pulsar NS200 retailing at Rs 1.12 lakhs for the ABS variant. The motorcycle uses a 199cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled carburetted motor that is capable of producing 23.2bhp and 18.3Nm of torque. TVS has the Apache RTR 200 4V with prices starting at Rs 95,505 for the carburetted version and going up to Rs 1.08 lakhs for the FI model. It is also available with ABS and is priced at Rs 1.09 lakhs. The bike is powered by a 197cc, oil-cooled motor that produces 20.4bhp in the Carb variant and 20.7bhp in the FI variant. Torque remains at 18.1Nm for both models.
Also available is the Hero Xtreme 200R with a price tag of Rs 89,900. The bike is only available in a carburetted variant which offers ABS as standard. It uses a 199cc, air-cooled engine that puts out 18.1bhp and 17.1Nm of torque. Now you can also opt for three cruiser motorcycles in the price range of the FZ V3.0. There is the Bajaj Avenger 220 Street and Avenger 220 Cruise, both retailing at Rs 1.02 lakhs. The bikes come equipped with an ABS unit. They are powered by a 220cc, liquid-cooled, carburetted engine that produces 19bhp and 17.5Nm of torque.
Suzuki has the Intruder 150 at Rs 99,995 for the standard variant and Rs 1.06 lakhs for the fuel-injected bike. The Intruder 150 is powered by a 155cc, air-cooled engine that puts out 14.6bhp and 14Nm of torque. Suzuki also offers the Gixxer SF and Gixxer SF Fi; the only fully-faired motorcycles in this list. While the standard SF with ABS retails at Rs 97,007, the Fi variant costs Rs 1 lakh and gets ABS as standard.
