The 2019 Yamaha MT-09 continues to sport an aggressive styling especially at the front end.
It's distinctive low-slung, twin-LED headlamps, muscular 14-litre fuel tank and large air-intakes make for an imposing stance.
The rear end of the MT-09 is svelte and consists of a sharp-tail lamp and a single-piece flat seat.
Now, the only update for 2019 on the MT-09 is the new white and red colour scheme which according to Yamaha evokes 'the dark side of Japan'.
The Yamaha MT-09 is powered by a 847cc, inline-three cylinder motor that generates 111bhp of power and 87.5Nm of torque. It is mated to a six-speed gearbox and a one-way quickshifter.
Yamaha has equipped the MT-09 with a traction control system and a 'D-mode' with adjusts engine power and throttle control with three different maps ('STD', 'A' mode and 'B' mode)
Suspension duties on the bike are taken care of by 41mm, inverted front forks along with a preload and rebound adjustable monoshock at the rear.
Braking hardware consists of twin 298mm discs at the front and a 245mm disc at the rear with dual-channel ABS.
The Yamaha MT-09 directly competes against the Triumph Street Triple 765 and Kawasaki Z900 in the country. However, if you're on a similar budget, there are also seven other bikes that are priced similarly.
