- 2019 Yamaha R15 V3 unveiled for international markets
- Gets three new colour options
- Expected to receive new paint schemes in India soon
Yamaha has taken the wraps off the 2019 R15 V3 for international markets. It gets three new colours schemes as part of the update.
Firstly, it sports a black colour scheme with red and white graphics on the side fairings and above the headlamp. The second colour combination is grey and yellow. In this colour scheme, grey is the base colour while yellow features under the LED headlamps, underbelly fairing and across the centre of the tank. And the third paint scheme has been inspired by Yamaha’s flagship supersport bike; the YZF-R1. The paint is a combination of black with blue and differentiates itself with the ‘R’ graphics on the side panels and the blue wheels.
Besides these new colour options, the YZF-R15 V3 remains the same. It is powered by a 155cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor that develops 19bhp and 14.7Nmof torque. The unit comes mated to a six-speed gearbox with slipper clutch. Now the international-spec R15 rides on inverted forks up front although to keep costs in check, the Indian-spec model comes with telescopic forks. Although, braking remains the same with disc brakes at both ends with dual-channel ABS as standard.
As for India getting the new colours for 2019, it is unlikely to happen. However, we can still expect Yamaha India to introduce the MotoGP-themed R15 V3 in the country soon.
