- 2019 Yamaha WR450F enduro bike revealed
- It gets upgraded suspension, chassis and a new engine
- The motorcycle won’t be available in India
Yamaha has revealed the 2019 version of the WR450F enduro bike. The updated motorcycle gets changes on its suspension setup, chassis and it is powered by a new engine. The 2019 WR450F is based on the company’s most powerful motocross bike, the YZ450F, which has won the MXGP championship in the past.
The new WR450F’s engine has been retuned to deliver better high-end torque which comes due to changes on the EFI mapping, intake and exhaust assembly. It is a 450cc, 4-valve unit mated to a 5-speed gearbox.
In order to improve its agility and maneuverability, Yamaha has updated the frame to an all-new aluminium bilateral unit. The new frame is lighter and more compact as compared to that on the ongoing model. The front KYB USD forks now feature stronger and longer springs while the rear suspension coil spring is 350gm lighter and has better bump-soaking capabilities.
The 2019 Yamaha WR450F will hit the dealerships by January in the international markets. It won’t be available in India since the market here is not favourable for such bikes as of now. However, Kawasaki offers a pair of similar motorcycles including the KLX450R and KX450F priced at Rs 8,49,000 and Rs 7,79,000 (both prices are ex-showroom, Mumbai), respectively.
