-Gets MotoGP-inspired livery
-No other mechanical changes
-Expected to be launched in India soon
Yamaha has unveiled the 2019 YZF-R15 V3 MotoGP edition in Indonesia.
As its name suggests, it sports a livery that has been inspired from the 2019 Yamaha M1; the manufacturer’s MotoGP machine. So the YZF-R15 V3 MotoGP edition gets a blue and black colour with the Monster Energy and ENEOS logos on the side fairings, above the twin LED-headlamps and also on the front mudguard. While the Indonesian-spec R15 V3 gets gold-finished forks, the one sold in India makes do with telescopic forks with black fork tubes.
Besides the livery, the YZF-R15 MotoGP remains unchanged. It is powered by a 155cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that produces 19bhp of power and 14.7Nm of torque. The motor comes mated to a six-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch.
Yamaha had introduced the R15 V3 with MotoGP livery in India last year and we can expect it to launch the 2019 MotoGP edition in the country too. It is likely to demand a slight premium over the standard version which costs Rs 1.39 lakhs (ex-showroom)
