The 2019 version of the Yamaha YZF-R3 has been globally revealed and is expected to arrive in India sometime next year. Until then, you can ogle at the bike in this detailed photo gallery.
The 2019 YZF-R3 sports a sharp design language heavily inspired by its bigger siblings, the YZF-R6 and YZF-R1.
The twin headlamps are now LED and separated by an air-intake which looks similar to the one of the YZF-R15 V3.
The 14-litre fuel tank has also been redesigned to appear more muscular and sports a gill-like pattern on either side of the fuel-filler cap.
It also gets am full-LCD instrument display which replaces the dated analogue-digital unit on the previous model.
Yamaha has also finally equipped the bike with KYB 37mm upside down front forks with gold-finished fork bottles for a sporty appeal.
The 2019 YZF-R3 continues to be powered by a 321cc, parallel-twin engine that produces 41.4bhp and 29.6Nm of torque.
Surprisingly, the bike misses out on the VVA (Variable Valve Technology) and slipper clutch that its smaller sibling, the YZF-R15 V3 gets as standard.
We can expect it to be priced at a slight premium over the current model and compete against the Kawasaki Ninja 300 and the KTM RC390 here.
