Benelli has updated its portfolio in the Chinese market with the launch of the 2020 302R. The motorcycle has been launched in China for 32,800 yuan. Buyers can book the motorcycle online by paying a deposit of 2,000 yuan while the balance of 30,800 yuan has to be paid at the dealership.
The styling cues haven’t undergone major changes, although Benelli has added new colour options for the 2020 model. The Benelli 302R is available in four colours – white, red, blue and green – in the Chinese market. All colour options are available at the same price tag of 32,800 yuan. The first 10 buyers of the 2020 Benelli 302R will get an AGV helmet worth 2,680 yuan for free.
The motorcycle uses a 300cc, parallel twin-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that produces 34.86bhp at 12,000rpm and 27Nm of peak torque at 9,000rpm. The 302R boasts a top speed at 170kmph.
Stopping power comes from twin, petal-type discs at the front and a single, petal-type rotor at the back while the safety net includes ABS. Shock absorption tasks are handled by upside-down forks at the front and a mono-shock at the back. The motorcycle tips the weighing scale at 204kg (kerb).
The 2020 Benelli 302R is currently available in China while its Indian launch details are yet to be announced.
