Benelli has updated its product portfolio in the Chinese market with the launch of the 2020 Leoncino 250. The quarter-litre motorcycle has been priced at 19,990 Chinese Yuan (Rs 2.15 lakh) in the country. The silver colour option with pink wheels, on the other hand, is available for 20,500 Chinese Yuan (Rs 2.21 lakh).
The 2020 model comes with new colour options. Rest of the specifications, however, remain unaltered. The colour palette has been updated and it now includes five paint options – red, grey, white, brown and silver with pink wheels. Rest of the features are similar to its predecessor, and the 2020 Benelli Leoncino 250 continues to come equipped with full-LED lighting and a digital instrument cluster.
Mechanical specifications include a 249.4cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that produces 26.8bhp of power at 10,500rpm and 20.5Nm of peak torque at 8,500rpm. The engine is linked to a six-speed gearbox. The premium hardware on the motorcycle comprises of tubular steel trellis frame, 41mm upside-down front forks, preload-adjustable mono-shock and petal-type disc brakes on both wheels.
The updated model is expected to arrive in the Indian market, although the company is yet to make any official announcement.
