- 2020 BMW G 310 R priced at Rs 2.45 lakh (ex-showroom)
- Gets minor cosmetic changes and new features
- Powered by a BS6-compliant 313cc engine
BMW Motorrad has launched the 2020 G 310 R in India with a price tag of Rs 2.45 lakh (ex-showroom). It is priced Rs 54,000 lesser than the previous model.
While it is now more affordable, the new G 310 R gets additional features and slight styling revisions that add value to the package. The biggest update is the inclusion of LED lighting for the headlamp, turn signals and tail lamp. And as part of the 2020 update, BMW has also added new colours to the G 310 R’s palette.
As for features, the street naked now gets adjustable clutch and brake levers along with a ride-by-wire throttle. The 312cc, single-cylinder engine is now BS6-compliant and churns out 34bhp at 9,500rpm and 28Nm at 7,000rpm- the same figures as the outgoing model. However, the engine which is paired to a six-speed gearbox now gets an assist and slipper clutch as standard. On the other hand, the cycle parts on the G 310 R remain unaltered.
We expect the 2020 G 310 R to be available in showrooms soon with deliveries to start by end of this month. In terms of competition, the motorcycle will go head on against the KTM 390 Duke and the Honda CB300R.
