BMW Motorrad has revealed the pricing of their flagship superbike, the 2020 S1000RR in the USA.
The pricing of the motorcycle in the country starts at USD 16,999 (Rs 11.75 lakhs). BMW is offering the S1000RR, like most motorcycles from the brand, in three variants. There is the Select, Race and M packages. The Select package costs USD 1400 (Rs 96,838) and adds a semi-active suspension, heated grips, tire pressure monitoring system and cruise control.
The Race package includes a launch control system, wheelie control, race modes, dynamic traction control, and slide control system along with a lithium-ion battery and forged aluminum wheels. It costs an additional USD 1600 (Rs 1.10 lakhs). Now, the 'M' package which costs USD 2100 (Rs 1.45 lakhs) is similar to the 'Race' package although the forged wheels are replaced with carbon fiber ones.
BMW recently teased the arrival of the 2020 S1000RR in India on their social media channels. We expect the motorcycle to be launched here in the coming weeks and cost a substantial premium over the current model that starts at Rs 18.05 lakhs and goes up to Rs 20.75 lakhs for the 'Pro' version. Considering the options available in the USA for the 2020 S1000RR, BMW Motorrad India is likely to offer the bike with the Race and M packages apart from the standard variant.
