Ducati has launched the Panigale V2 in India. It replaces the 959 Panigale as the brand’s entry-level supersports motorcycle. Here we tell you the top five highlights of the Ducati Panigale V2.
Styling
The new Panigale V2 draws heavy styling inspiration from the Panigale V4 which is evident in the front end of the motorcycle. It gets an aggressive fairing that houses twin LED headlamps with LED DRLs, sharp lines and creases along its bodywork as well as an upswept tail section. Further complementing its styling is the single-sided swingarm and stubby exhaust that exposes the rear wheel. Engine
Powering the Panigale V2 is a 955cc, L-twin, Superquadro engine that is capable of churning out 152.8bhp at 10,750rpm and 104Nm at 9,000rpm. This motor comes mated to a six-speed gearbox and a bi-directional quick shifter.
Features
As for features, Ducati has equipped the supersport with traction control, cornering ABS, engine brake control, wheelie control as well as three riding modes. It also gets a 4.3-inch TFT screen that serves as an instrument cluster.
Cycle Parts
The Ducati Panigale V2 rides on Pirelli Diablo Rosso 2 tyres. Its suspension setup comprises of 43mm Showa Big Piston Forks at the front, and a side-mounted Sachs mono-shock at the rear; both fully adjustable. Meanwhile, braking duties are done by Brembo calipers at both ends.
Pricing
Ducati has pegged the Panigale V2 at Rs 16.99 lakh. This is a considerable premium over the Panigale 959’s Rs 14.74 lakh price. Nevertheless, the motorcycle competes against the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R in the country.
